We talk about addiction a lot these days, which is good. It’s a change from the years and years of not talking about the truth while so many people suffer in silence. Because the truth is that addictions are just symptoms of a deeper problem: our pain. Our addictions are the ways we numb out when we can no longer bear feeling.
